Edith Ceccarelli was born on February 5, 1908, in Willits, California. Her father worked as a lumberjack and, prior to starting a store in Willits in 1916, also did grocery deliveries by horse and carriage. In 1927, she earned her diploma from Willits Union High School.

Edith Ceccarelli has been married twice as of February 2024. Elmer Keenan, Ceccarelli’s high school lover, passed away in 1984. The couple were married in 1933.

After moving to Santa Rosa, where Keenan worked as a typesetter, they had a daughter together. She later got married to Charles Ceccarelli. Ceccarelli passed away in 1990. He wed Ceccarelli in 1986.
