However, he returned to the UK a few months later due to the growing communist threat.

Meanwhile, Mr. Hoida was personally visited by the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Great Britain, Marie Chatardova, and the Embassy’s Military Attaché.

Besides, Brigadier General Vratislav Beran, on the occasion of his 105th birthday, was presented with a personal letter of congratulations from President Petr Pavel and a commemorative medal to mark the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
